SCOBY, a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast used in the production of kombucha, was utilized in this project to mimic the celestial and natural patterns that occur in space. Contrary to other moon night lights, scoby night light is a method of creation that is unique each time, natural, and can be grown from home.

The scoby was made from scratch by combining tea, sugar, and kombucha. The scoby took 21 days to form. Each form is completely unique and can be shaped and sized according to the bulb.
